Alauddin khalji used to be the powerful ruler of the khalji dynasty. Khalji dynasty of Delhi sultanate was location in Indian subcontinent. At that time, an ethnic turk, Jalaluddin used to be the sultan of Delhi. Alauddin was just the master of ceremonies. After sometime, Alauddin killed jalaluddin and became the sultan of Delhi.

Since he was not a good rules as he never worked in the favor of his kingdom people. He faced so many diseases in the last years of his life. He faced various kinds of illness. That is why, he asked Malik Kafur to manage the administration. When Alauddin died, Kafur appointed his son Shihabuddin as the puppet monarch.
